Overview

This Dallas-Fort Worth Urban League program in partnership with Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and local workforce boards serving recipients of The Choices Program focuses on those who need assistance finding jobs and becoming more independent. The DFWUL Elevate 360 Pathways to Prosperity program is a learn and earn program allowing participants to search for jobs, learn skills needed for their next job, and go to school while receiving on the job training. The program could also provide support services such as paying for work clothes or training supplies.

Who It Is For

Underserved residents and job seekers in North Texas who receive Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and are currently in the Choices Program.

What Participants Can Expect

Search for job openings and career placement with local employers

Learn vital industry-specific skills needed for your next job

Go to school while earning and receiving hands-on, on-the-job training

Receive supportive services such as funding for work clothes, uniforms, or training supplies

Program Impact

15 - 50 Applicants accepted each quarter

Up to 200 Applicants hired and trained annually

Eligibility

Currently receiving or have received TANF

Currently in the Choices Program

Live in Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, or Denton counties
